Sculptra in Syracuse, Rochester, and Ithaca, NY
Double board-certified Facial Plastic Surgeon Dr. Sang W. Kim of the Natural Face™ Clinics feature Sculptra® treatments for patients residing in the Syracuse metropolitan area and Central New York area including Ithaca, and Rochester.
What Is Sculptra®?
Sculptra® is a facial injectable available for use since 2009 that consists of poly-L-lactic acid reconstituted in sterile water. Sculptra® works gradually to correct deep facial wrinkles and folds by replacing collagen that is lost in the natural aging process. Sculptra® is used to gradually replace lost collagen over a series of injections, which offers a more subtle transformation and results that can last for up to two years.
What is poly-L-lactic acid?
Poly-L-lactic acid is a synthetic biodegradable, biocompatible polymer. Poly-L-lactic acid helps reinforce skin structure by replacing natural collagen and restoring the fullness of the skin to correct deep facial wrinkles and folds. While poly-L-lactic acid fillers such as Sculptra® use a synthetic filler to replace collagen, it, as well as the natural hyaluronic acid fillers used at the Natural Face™ Clinics, are all non-allergenic.
How Long Do Sculptra® Treatments Take?
Treatments can be instituted during a patient’s lunch hour and generally take no longer than 15 minutes at a time. Average initial treatment is two to three sessions between six and 10 weeks apart with a maintenance treatment needed only once a year.
Where can Sculptra® be Used?
Sculptra® is indicated for the treatment of deep facial wrinkles and folds that do not occur in the forehead, around the eyes, mouth or lips.
What makes Sculptra® Different?
Sculptra®, unlike injectable treatments using hyaluronic acid, it is a synthetic injectable that works gradually to improve the structure of the skin. It allows you to improve your appearance more subtly, and the results last for up to two years with minimal maintenance treatments required.
How Long Do the Results Last?
Natural cell enzymes break down the properties of poly-L-lactic acid over time, and a once a year maintenance treatment is required but overall results can last up to two years.
How Much Do Sculptra® Treatments Cost in Syracuse?
The costs involved with a Natural Face™ procedure can vary depending on the extent of the treatment necessary to achieve optimum results. Having our own private on-site surgical facility allows our patients to save money by including all the before and after care, operating room costs, and the local anesthetic fees together.
