What is a Brow Lift?
A brow lift, also referred to as a forehead lift, is designed to decrease expression lines or creases in the region of the forehead or brow. Not only are forehead creases minimized, the procedure also reduces the lines that occur between the eyes or across the bridge of the nose. A sagging brow with a hooded upper lid can also benefit from the surgery. The eyebrows are raised during the procedure, thereby creating a more youthful look.
This patient underwent endoscopic browlift and upper eyelid blepharoplasty
What Other Skin Rejuvenation Procedures Are Usually Combined with a Brow Lift?
The brow lift procedure may be combined with other skin rejuvenation procedures or MediSpa services, including eyelid surgery, laser skin resurfacing, or a Natural Face™ Lift to correct sagging in the lower face and neck area.
What Is Involved in the Process?
At the Natural Face™ Clinics, the brow lift is considered a minimally invasive procedure and steps are taken to ensure that the process reveals results that look totally natural. A light anesthetic is administered before the surgery for the highest measure of safety. An endoscope or a medical video device makes it possible to make very small incisions at the hairline. As a result, no visible marks are seen after the surgery.
If an incision is made at the hairline, the muscle and tissue beneath the brow are repositioned so the creases or furrows can be removed. In the case of a sagging brow, the surgery may be performed by making incisions in the natural crease of the upper lid. Using this technique will eliminate any lines seen across the bridge of the nose or between the eyes.
How Long Does Recovery Take?
Typically, the initial recovery for a brow lift takes up to ten days. During that time, the sutures will be removed. Any bruising can be covered with make-up. During the next few weeks, any swelling will dissipate, and the incision lines will fade. Complete recovery or healing takes several months overall. Patients are advised to wear sunscreen during recuperation and afterward.
What Are the Benefits?
Patients experience a more youthful, rejuvenated look after they heal from the procedure.
