Temple Lift in Syracuse and Ithaca, NY

Double board-certified Facial Plastic Surgeon Dr. Sang W. Kim and Dr. Douglas Halliday of the Natural Face™ Clinics, provide temple lifts for patients residing in the Syracuse metropolitan area and Central New York area including Ithaca and Rochester.

What Is a Temple Lift?

A temple lift, also referred to as a temporal brow lift, is designed to elevate the tail end of the eyebrow instead of the total brow. The surgery can be performed with an endoscope or surgical video camera, which allows for the placement of smaller incisions and a very minimal chance of scarring. Unlike browplasty, which also elevates the middle part of the brow, this rejuvenating procedure gives you a refreshed look by focusing on the outside brow.

What Is Involved in the Procedure?

Temple lifts, which are performed on an outpatient basis, generally use a light anesthetic. An incision is placed in the area of the hairline, just above the ear. After making the incision, the surgeon tightens the underlying tissue. Not only is the outside brow elevated, crow’s feet can also be eliminated during the process. The excess skin at the site is removed before suturing.

What Is the Recovery Time?

Because a temple lift is minimally invasive surgery, the downtime is minimal or no longer than 10 days. Because incisions are placed and sutures are added underneath the hair, most patients can resume their normal activities without the sutures being seen. Patients are advised to wear sunscreen during and after recovery.

What Are the Benefits of a Temple Lift?

Most patients who opt for the surgery experience better symmetry in the brow and temple area. Not only are crow’s feet significantly reduced, the face and brow area looks rejuvenated and more youthful.

Which Facial Procedures Are Usually Combined with a Temple Lift?

Medispa services and procedures that are combined with a temple lift may include eyelid surgery or blepharoplasty, laser skin rejuvenation, or a Natural Face™ Lift.
